# Custom AI

> Custom AI is an AI system designed and built for a specific enterprise's data, workflows, and constraints, rather than a generic product configured by the buyer.

## What is Custom AI?

Custom AI sits between two extremes: off-the-shelf SaaS (configured but not coded) and full in-house build (engineered from scratch). It is the typical mode for regulated workflows where the data, the success metric, and the compliance bar are unique. A custom AI engagement combines product thinking, data engineering, applied machine learning, and operational design.

## How does Custom AI apply to enterprise AI?

Custom AI is what Impetora sells. The deliverable is a system, not a product licence: code, infrastructure, evaluation harness, runbooks, and the evidence pack required for procurement and audit.
